I used Cool Edit Pro 2.0 for years and recently upgraded to Adobe Audition. I know that 'Refresh Effects List' in Edit Waveform view will update plugins that were installed on your computer. I downloaded some seemingly nice plugins in .zip form and extracted them into the 'vstplugins' folder in the Adobe directory but they still don't show up. In these .zip files are two files; one is a .dat and one is a .dll. My question is are these even compatible with Audition? And if so, how can I make them show up as usable plugins?
